THREE Simple Marketing Techniques to Get You Clients NOW!

    August 15, 2016

As a small business owner, aka, a private practice owner, I am always looking for marketing strategies that pay off in the short term and the long term. I have invested in some silly marketing tools that have had a poor return, however, I have invested in some marketing that had a fantastic pay off and continue to provide a constant stream of referrals.

Below you will find THREE simple marketing techniques you can do now to let others know you are talented, skilled, and accepting new clients!

    1. Send an introduction letter, which has your practice address, who you are, who you treat, what insurances you take, and (this is the important part) an invitation to sit down with them to talk more about your services and how you can be helpful to their practice. This letter should be concise and quick to read. You want to include a brochure, rack card, and business card for follow up. If you are reading this and would like a copy of a sample introduction letter, email me at StokesConsultingServices@outlook.com and put in the title “Sample Marketing Letter Request.” I will shoot it over to you!

Success story—-When I opened my practice, I sent out about 100 of these letters. Some of them were easily trashed, while others called me to get more information about my services. One huge partnership that was developed is when a local Pediatrician’s office. They have a group of 4 Doctors, who have sent me referrals on a consistent basis since 2011.

    2. Get a Facebook Page for your practice and post daily. Your posts can be informational and inspirational. Facebook is such a great way to reach local people who might find your services helpful. So many people use Facebook and it can be a lifeline of referrals for your practice. In addition to my Facebook page, I also run Facebook Ads (This may be a follow up blog post), and have had great success in attracting new clients. Setting up the page is quick and simple. Posting each day only requires a couple minutes out of your day and can be a great reminder to potential clients you exist and are quite knowledgeable.

Success Story–Currently, I have 1045 LIKES on my Facebook page, which provides a great way for people to LIKE, SHARE, and REPOST the information I am posting. This extends my reach beyond the 1045 people and hopefully will reach a new client. Many of our clients have found us on Facebook through friends and family!

    3. Display marketing materials in your waiting room! These marketing materials can include business cards, rack cards, brochures, flyers, etc. Who better to market your practice than current clients who are receiving quality, competent treatment? These marketing materials are great to put in pocket, purse, etc.

Success Story–As my practice grew, the amount of clients being treated increased. This allowed for increased word of mouth about services being delivered. Currently, we receive about 30% of our referrals word of mouth (this could be higher as I last checked in 2013). On my intake form, I have a section (referred by_______). Many list current/former clients of the practice. Also, as a business owner, I am thankful for this because this is FREE marketing (Who doesn’t like FREE!?)

These are ONLY a few marketing techniques to market your practice. These are quick, easy, and don’t require a TON of your time! Feel free to share your ideas and/or success stories in the comment section!
